Fax Machines Important In Present Communications

Fax machines were first designed in 1843 and are a very important part of present communication. They allow you to transmit pieces of paper to other people or companies instantly. It is nearly impossible for businesses to function in present times wihtout a fax machine. The attached link contains a very interesting article about how fax machines work. This article also mentions how faxes can now also be sent via emails. You can also watch the attached video to see what types of fax machines exist in the present. Hope you enjoy this post. 1. I totally agree with your post. When the company I work for, loses the connection for the fax machine or work will come to a halt. We depend on the fax or eCopy machine for most of our work. Most of the people want these documents delivered immediately, and do not want to send thru interoffice which could take a few days. Another peice of technology that businesses could not do without in today's present conditions.

  2. It was a great invention to say the least, but its also great to get the same information through an email. Video teleconferences are another way to do business, instead of faxing a proposal, you can communicate with the prospective client this way and show them what your selling. I know a guy who sells car cleaning supplies to the Federal Govt. this way.

  4. When I first started working in an office 20+ yrs ago, fax machines were a must. We had a machine with the roll paper - but the material on this type of paper would fade over time. Then we moved on to faxes that took a ream of paper and could also be used as a copy machine. Today, everyone wants information e-mailed to them; faxes are becoming a thing of the past. Great post.

  5. Lets just face it, there are so many different ways to communicate with one another. We could not do this is the past so easliy because technology was not up to date but now we can get a hold of anyone in seconds with the technology and science of today. We have phones, computers, radio, fax machines and more!

  6. To this day, I have no idea how to work a fax machine. I do, however, love the idea that we can send important documents at the nick of time and how fast it works. Maybe one day, I can take the time to actually learn how to use one before I go out into the real world.

  7. I think everyone here pretty much hit the nail on the head. Fax machines are critical to nearly every business. The ability to fax a contract, or some other document instantly makes the business world such smoother place to be in.
