  1. My cell phone is like a part of my body, if i dont have my phone its like missing my brain. I have a BlackBerry and it has everything i need on it, i use it for all of my school work and social networking and email and i cant go a day without it. I do a pretty good job with not checking it when im driving tho but the second i out my car in park thats the first thing i reach for!

  2. It is true that cell phones have changed the way we communicate. They have completely changed our lives. I use my phone for everything. It wakes me up in the morning, reminds me of appointments, gives me directions, plays my favorite music, and shows me the weather forecasts. Sometimes I don’t know what I would do without it for a day. And it is very important that people stop talking and texting while driving. It is an unnecessary distraction. A text is never important enough to risk people’s lives.

  3. When I compare my childhood to that of my kids, who are 21 and 16, I find it absolutely astounding the differences with how I grew up and how they did. And I can see it in the attitude that they have towards the technology that is commonly used in our home. While I am like a giddy schoolkid everytime I use or get a new gadget, like my cell phone, iPod, and HDTV, they seem to have a very nonchalant, hard-to-impress view of things. I'm not saying that they're ungrateful and take things for granted, because they absolutely are not. But they do not get as easily amazed and excited about these things like I do. I know that it's only because they have no idea what it was like before technology became such a huge part of everyday life.

  4. I know cell phones are supposed to be a good thing, but they are also a bad thing. Sometimes it’s not always good to always be connected to people and you need a break. It’s healthy in relationships and cell phones make it hard to give people space because the ability to always be able to text them and such. I think that cell phones are a great thing, but when used correctly.

  5. Cell phones have come a long way. I never have used a pay phone in my life, and I hardly ever see them anymore. It’s funny how things have changed. It’s so much easier to call mom to get a ride when I was a kid, and you didn’t always have to have a definite time when you were doing this or that, you could change it as necessary because you could call people with a phone. Now though, we just text a lot, and use the web, so it’s not much of a phone anymore. I don’t have the web because I still use my phone as a, get this, phone! I think having the web would be cool, but it’s good to get away from the technology and just enjoy moving slowly, it’s less stressful.
