ReplyDeleteWhen reading about the Egyptian paintings, I recalled my impressions after I had visited the King Tut exhibition in Franklin’s Institute. I’ve been to many countries, but for many years, Egypt, its culture and ancient Egyptian civilization have been what in Latin they call Tabular Rasa, my dream country. I was really excited a tremendous and captivating exhibition. When I entered the first room of the exhibition, I felt as if I have become a part of some ancient culture. The very first room unsealed the door to the ancient Egyptian tomb of King Tut, the most powerful Egyptian Pharaoh. Egyption civilization was an perfect example of advanced technological development whose secret still remains undiscovered. The society that was once the most magnificent enigma is going through very difficult times at the moment. But my most honest hope is that the country with such ancient and powerful culture will survive all the difficulties and will become strong, powerful and creative as it once was.
ReplyDeleteI find stuff like this from the Past to be absolutely fascinating. I never give the people of the past any credit for being artists. They are in fact magnificent artists. Its amazing how the stuff they painted on the cave walls still exists today.
ReplyDeleteI find it amazing that cave paintings still exist. I also find it amazing that these paintings seem as realistic as they did. That means that even early humans had the artistic capabilities to show their lives through a medium, which just happened to be through painting.
