  1. That’s an interesting way to communicate. I don’t think it’s geeky at all. It just sounds expensive. I knew this stuff was real because I was reading some Tom Clancy books on Splinter Cell, and in it the cell operative Sam Fisher uses this exact technology. He can talk without actually speaking, with an implant that is based around his neck, right by his vocal cords. I think it would take some getting used to, but it’s interesting. It helps if you’re Sam Fisher, because if you’re stealthing around, no one will know you’re talking, even if you are hiding right on top of them. He also has implants in his ears that are under the skin, and he can hear communication coming in from command.

  2. I can’t wait for some of these gadgets to come out. It would be great to be able to control a game system or computer with your brain. My favorite one is the one created by the researchers at the ATR Computational Neuroscience Laboratories in Japan. They have come up with something that can send a visual image of your dreams to a computer. I have crazy dreams almost every night and would love to be able to record them. Then I could see everything that I didn’t remember when I woke up. I am amazed everyday at the things people are inventing.
